BPML Freeport Services Ltd, invites applications from young graduates as Trainee Accounts Officer on placement under the Youth Employment Programme (YEP).
The duties and responsibilities of the trainee are as follows:
- Prepare documents, maintain records, and provide clerical support relating to the Company’s financial accounting requirements.
- Maintain records of the Company’s financial transactions such as accounting receivable, payable, bank balances, accruals, etc.
- Prepare Journal entries.
- Check invoices and prepare documentation for their payment
- Perform cashier duties including drawing of receipt and banking.
- Dispatch of revenue bills, cheques, etc
- Chasing of debtors.
- Issue of purchase requisition.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
Minimum Requirements:
(i) ACCA Level 1 or
(ii) A Diploma in Finance or Accounting from a recognize institution
